Gasca Brothers Pink Bourbon

This washed Pink Bourbon comes from Finca Zarza in Bruselas, Huila, a farm run by brothers Jhonatan and Johan Gasca, who grew up in a coffee-producing family in Pitalito. After briefly pursuing other paths, they returned home with a renewed vision: to elevate their family’s legacy through specialty coffee.

They studied ecological agriculture and shifted their focus to quality-driven, sustainable production. Inspired by friends like the Lasso family, they’ve invested in environmentally conscious practices and continue to refine their processing techniques, earning growing recognition for the consistency and quality of their coffees.

Their commitment has remained strong, even through early challenges and by participating in competitions like the Cup of Excellence, they continue to demonstrate their dedication to excellence in the industry.

Despite its name, "Pink Bourbon" is not genetically related to the Bourbon family. DNA studies from 2017 and 2023 confirmed it originates from Ethiopia and is genetically closer to Ethiopian landraces than traditional Bourbons. We roast this lot lightly to highlight its delicate floral and fruit-forward profile: jasmine, crisp citrus, plum, and tropical fruits.
