This exceptional coffee comes from smallholder producers in the Buku village of Hambela, located in the Guji Zone of the Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Grown at altitudes between 1800-1950 meters above sea level, it undergoes a natural processing method, which enhances its unique and vibrant flavor profile. After being hand-harvested, the cherries are processed at the Buku washing station, owned by Esayas Bareso, where they are carefully sorted and packed into large plastic barrels to undergo a 144-hour fermentation process. The cherries are then dried on raised beds for 2-3 weeks to ensure they reach the perfect level of dryness.
After drying, the beans are hand-sorted one final time to ensure only the finest are selected for export.
In the cup, expect vibrant notes of peach, delicate floral undertones, and the bright tang of blueberry and guava, resulting in a clean, fruit-toned cup with a refreshing and complex flavor profile.

‣ For optimal flavor, we recommend enjoying the coffee 2 weeks after roasting to allow it to degas, with peak freshness lasting up to 2 months.
